By using this website, submitting a membership application, or participating in club activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
When you submit a membership application, your typed name serves as your digital signature and constitutes your acceptance of these terms, the club bylaws, and the Lawn Bowls Nova Scotia Code of Conduct.
By accepting these terms, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or if under 18, that a parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these terms on your behalf.
Regular membership has a base fee of $125. Additional provincial and club fees apply. Other membership categories may be available. Final totals are confirmed at registration each season.
The outdoor bowling season runs from mid-May through October. Membership is valid for one season and must be renewed annually. Short mat bowling (indoors) is offered in the winter, with schedule details announced each season.
Active membership includes access to club facilities, participation in social games and jitneys, eligibility for club tournaments, free coaching, equipment borrowing, and a name tag.
The club reserves the right to terminate or suspend membership for violation of club rules, the Code of Conduct, unsafe behavior, non-payment of fees, or conduct detrimental to the club.
All members must comply with the Lawn Bowls Nova Scotia Code of Conduct, which promotes fair play, respect, and sportsmanship. A copy is provided during registration.
We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, and abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. Report concerns to any member of the Executive Committee.
The bowling green is our most valuable asset. Members must follow all posted rules regarding green care, use designated walkways, and report any damage or concerns.
Flat-soled shoes are required on the green to protect the playing surface. Heels, cleats, and textured soles are not permitted. White or light-colored clothing is traditional but not required for casual play.
Club equipment (bowls, jacks, mats) is available for all members. Please handle equipment with care and return it to proper storage after use.
Members may bring guests who must be accompanied at all times and follow all club rules. Frequent guests should consider becoming members.
We accept payment by e-transfer (preferred), cash, or cheque. E-transfers should be sent to admin@stmaryslbc.com with your full name in the memo field.
Refund Policy: Membership fees are generally non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances (medical condition, relocation), partial refunds may be considered at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
Lawn bowling is a physical activity involving bending, walking, and repetitive motion. By participating, you acknowledge that you are physically capable of these activities and assume all associated risks.
Outdoor activities are subject to weather conditions including sun exposure, heat, and rain. Members are responsible for their own comfort and safety.
The club is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless St. Mary's Lawn Bowls Club, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, and agents from any claims, damages, or liability arising from your participation in club activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Members are covered by Lawn Bowls Nova Scotia's liability insurance while participating in sanctioned club activities. This does not cover personal injuries or property damage. Members are encouraged to maintain their own health and property insurance.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nova Scotia.
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. For significant changes, we will notify members via email. Your continued membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
By submitting a membership application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, the club bylaws, and the Lawn Bowls Nova Scotia Code of Conduct.
