We collect the name, phone number, and relationship of an emergency contact person. This information is used solely in case of a medical emergency or safety incident at the club.

We ask whether you have a medical condition we should be aware of and whether you have submitted a medical information sheet. We do not store detailed medical records, only these consent flags to ensure we can respond appropriately in an emergency.

Payment Information

We record your payment method (e-transfer, cash, or cheque), payment status, and transaction references. We do not store credit card numbers or banking details on our systems.

Technical Information

When you submit a membership application online, we may retain limited submission metadata needed to administer the application and troubleshoot issues. We do not use membership submissions for advertising profiling.

We share your name, contact information, and membership type with Lawn Bowls Nova Scotia as required for provincial registration. A portion of your membership fee ($25) goes to LBNS for provincial membership and insurance coverage.

Emergency Services

No Sale of Data

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Your information is used solely for club operations and required provincial registration.

Photo Consent

During membership registration, you may optionally consent to having your photo taken at club events. This consent is entirely voluntary and does not affect your membership status.

If you provide consent, photos may be used on our website, Facebook page, and promotional materials. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as you are an active member. When your membership ends, we retain records for up to 7 years for financial and legal compliance purposes, after which your information is securely deleted.

We offer youth memberships, but this website is intended for a general audience. If a youth application requires parent or guardian involvement, the club handles that directly as part of the membership process rather than through a separate public online workflow.
